Showing a bit of the progress I made with my fox-suit recently. A second, male one, is also in work.

I've learned so much cool techniques again, I think I will never stop learning and thinking up new and better ways to do this stuff :D Wee!

Thanks a lot :) I'm very happy how the face came out after furring. The colors are not airbrushed, only painted on with copic markers, for small parts this is quite easy, also you can press the color deeper into the fur.

true. but ive always seen that certain marker types will run on certain furs o.o so thats a bit of a guessing game in itself if your not careful.

Ok, thanks for the warning. I made good experience with Copics, though not for more than a year now. Parts of the smaller spots of my goat are painted on, they are still there :)

i use high-grade watered down acrylic paints and a blow dryer on low about a foot away from the area. now THAT will NEVER come off. made damn sure of it x3

Good idea... but doesn't that make the fur stick together? I used this technique (without the blow dryer though) on the kirin, but only for the short-trimmed parts.

It really depends if you do it right or not. you can paint on up to 2" pile fur and still have it be styleble
